"When the County 1884 was first launched at the Smithfield Show in 1980 it was an instant hit. Now, 40 years on, it remains a true icon.

In early 1980 a tractor dealer in Texas, USA approached County asking them to convert his Ford TW into a County as he was unable to purchase one locally. After much Discussion, County sent all of the parts from a 1474 needed to bring the TW up to County specs as well as one of their top engineers to oversee the works. There were some concerns around the 1474 parts being able to cope with the extra horsepower, but these proved unfounded and you could say that the resulting machine became the prototype for the 1884.

This 1/32 scale model commemorates 40 years of the County 1884 and, as with the original tractor, still carries the Ford decals, front weights, and the PAVT rims."
