Fits 24 Spline Land Rover Axles - factory fitted on Series 3 1980 onwards but many have been retrofitted to earlier vehicles.

Improves fuel economy when four wheel drive is not required (in reality its only by a few per cent).

Reduces wear on the front axle and drive train.

In my experience it makes the steering lighter around town when front axle is freewheeling.
