Just a few corrections, the above series 1 is a 1954 model and I have the “Confirmation Date of Manufacture”from the British Motor Heritage Trust which is 25 November 1954 and the price at that time was £630. The reason we think it was an Air Force vehicle was because Don found the chassis had the airforce blue on it. A local large copper mine had used it for many years just pulling a fire tender around before I bought it. My children all learned to drive it around the farm; one in particular is interested in looking after it for many years to come; what’s more my grand children will be driving it too!
